Boy Scouts of America Prepared for Life

Troop 469 – Parker, CO

Founded in 1983, Troop 469 is a value-based organization sponsored by the United Church of Christ Parker Hilltop. Built on the principles of character, citizenship, and personal fitness, Troop 469 is active year-round in Colorado which affords us the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in all types of weather. We participate in at least one high-adventure outing per year as well as community service activities. Our troop is scout-led to teach leadership skills in our boys and we have graduated 97 Eagle Scouts to date.

Boy Scout Meetings are held every Monday Evening at 7:00pm at United Church of Christ Parker Hilltop, 10926 Democrat Rd, Parker, Colorado.

Our Activities

Living at the base of the Rocky Mountains affords the Scouts of Troop 469 the opportunity for all-year activities. We have summer and winter camps, fishing, canoeing, snow shoeing, snow tubing, hiking 14ers, and other outdoor adventures.

We also have activities around citizenship, game design, chemistry, photography, team building, and personal management.

Our Scout Troop is led by Scouts, providing a focus on leadership and responsibility; qualities we believe that every young man should posses. We strive to focus on the primary goals of Scouting: citizenship, character, service, leadership, and physical fitness.

About the Boy Scouts

For almost 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.

Scouting provides youth with a sense that they are important as individuals. It is communicated to them that those in the Scouting family care about what happens to them, regardless of whether a game is won or lost.

Scout Principles

Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
